The History behind Tainted Heart...
Tainted Heart was created on December 18, 2005. I wanted a place to display my artwork and that is why this website was created. I chose the name 'Tainted Heart' because I liked how it sounded so hopeless and bitter just like life... You can see that its the mood in my posters.

June 24, 2008

I randomly wandered in this website to see if people still visited and I noticed the last comment on the tag board was about a month ago. That gave me a bit of inspiration and so I opened up photoshop and went through some folders. I found a poster that I started a couple months ago but never found the time to finish. Now that its summer I have plenty of time on my hands. So I figured I might as well finish what I started. It's funny how I can sit there for hours making poster after poster when I feel inspired. But I can't make a single thing when I have no inspiration. And thats how I ended up here at 1:37 AM, updating a site that I haven't even logged on to since the beginning of the year. I came across a poem when I was searching for quotes to use in one of my posters.

The Gift Of Friends
by Karin Schaefer

There are days when
bubbling from us comes
the innocent child within,
who giggles at the little things
and wears a silly grin.

There are days when
melancholy comes to
visit for a while;
the mind feels tired, the body weak;
we have no strength to smile.
There are days when
joy abundant
grabs a hold of you and me;
wraps us up in all it's splendor,
lifts us up and sets us free.

There are days when
sorrow wraps us
in its cloak of grief and fear,
'till our hearts ache to the breaking,
'till our eyes can't shed a tear.

There are days when
love bestows us
with its wonderment and light;
with its beauty and its mystery,
its power and its might.

And there are days when
life rewards us
and seems to make amends
by granting us a marvelous gift,
the precious gift of Friends.

I thought this poem was really beautiful and so I made three posters using parts of the poem. I usually think that friendship is pretty overrated and I can do without friendship. However, there moments in my life that I realize I'm glad to have certain people around me. Thanks for being there for me no matter what. I know I can be a biatch sometimes, but you put up with me anyways.
